How the lesson starts: Count On to Add

1. Kip the kangaroo

   G'day, friend! This is Kip the kangaroo. Kip loves to hop on the number path. Kip starts on a number. Then Kip hops forward. Where will Kip land?

2. Hop forward

   Kip starts at 6. Move 3 steps forward. Hop to 7. Hop to 8. Hop to 9. Kip lands on 9! Forward means the numbers get bigger.

3. A bigger hop

   Start at 9. Move 4 steps forward. Watch out! Kip is already on 9. Don't count 9. The first hop lands on 10. 10, 11, 12, 13. Kip lands on 13!
