How the lesson starts: Find 10 Less

1. Rosa's cupcakes

   Hello! Welcome to Rosa's cupcake shop. Rosa packs cupcakes in trays of 10. Today, friends buy a whole tray at a time. Let's find 10 less!

2. Sell one tray

   Rosa has 63 cupcakes. That's 6 tens and 3 ones. A friend buys 1 tray of 10. Now there are 5 tens and 3 ones. 10 less than 63 is 53!

3. Change the tens!

   10 less than 47? The tens digit goes down. 4 becomes 3. The ones stay 7. So it's 37! Watch out! 46 is only 1 less. 10 less changes the tens.
