1. Izzy the inchworm

   Hi friend! Meet Izzy the inchworm. Izzy loves to measure things in her garden. How long is a crayon? How long is a leaf? Izzy has a ruler. Let's measure!

2. Two rulers

   This ruler counts centimeters. We write cm. A crayon starts at 0 and ends at 6. It's 6 cm long. Izzy's other ruler counts inches. An inch is a bigger space.

3. Count spaces, not lines

   A leaf starts at 0. It ends at 9 on the cm ruler. Count the lines? That's 10. Too many! Count the spaces. 9! It's 9 cm. Watch out! Read the end number, and say the unit.
