How the lesson starts: Reason with Shape Attributes

1. Shape costume party

   Welcome to the shape costume party! Shapes dress up in fun colors. Some are big. Some are small. Some tip sideways! Can you still count their sides?

2. Count the sides

   The secret is sides! Triangle: 3 sides. Square: 4 sides. Pentagon: 5 sides. Hexagon: 6 sides. Count the corners too. Same number!

3. Find the 4-siders

   Tap every shape with 4 sides. Square: 4. Rectangle: 4. Diamond: 4. Triangle: only 3. Circle: no straight sides! Watch out! A tilted square still has 4 sides.
