How the lesson starts: Missing Sequential Numbers

  1. Fin's hidden lily pad

    Hi friend! Meet Fin the frog. Fin hops on lily pads, and every pad has a number. But one pad is hiding under a leaf! Let's find it together.

  2. Three ways to hop

    Fin hops three ways. By ones: 12, 13, 14, 15. By fives: 20, 25, 30, 35. By tens: 40, 50, 60, 70. Each hop is the same size every time!

  3. Leaf at the start

    Here the leaf is first! The pads say 30, 40, 50. From 30 to 40 is a hop of 10. To go back to the first pad, take one hop away. 30 − 10 = 20. The leaf hides 20!
