How the lesson starts: Ones, Tens & Hundreds

  1. Milo's candy factory

Hi friend! Welcome to Milo's candy factory. Today Milo made 243 candies. Counting one by one takes forever. So Milo packs them in boxes, rolls and loose candies!

  2. Packing 243

Ten loose candies make a roll. Ten rolls fill a box. So 243 is 2 boxes, that's 2 hundreds. Then 4 rolls, that's 4 tens. And 3 loose candies, that's 3 ones!

  3. Let's match 386

Let's match each digit of 386 to its place. Tap through with me. Start at the right. The 6 is in the ones place. The 8 is in the tens place. The 3 is in the hundreds place!
