Friendly fact tricks
Some facts have tricks. Times 2 means double: 2 × 7 = 14. Times 5, count by 5s: 6 × 5 = 30. Times 10, count by 10s: 10 × 4 = 40. Times 3, add three times: 3 × 8 = 24.
Fours: double, double
Nova's best trick is for 4s. Double, then double again! 4 × 7: double 7 is 14. Double 14 is 28. So 4 × 7 = 28. Watch out: times is not plus. 4 + 7 is only 11!
