How the lesson starts: Add Details with Adjectives, Determiners, Prepositions, and Conjunctions

  1. Nima's sentence sandwiches

Hi friend! This is Nima the panda. Nima makes sentence sandwiches. A plain sentence is okay. But toppings make it yummy! First topping, describing words.

  2. Describing toppings

The puppy slept. Plain! Add a describing word. The tiny puppy slept. The fuzzy brown puppy slept. Tiny, fuzzy, brown. They tell what it is like.

  3. Let's fill the blank

I see the blank duck at the pond. Under, happy, or and? Say each one in the blank. The under duck? Silly! Under tells where. The and duck? Silly! The happy duck. Happy tells what the duck is like!
