How the lesson starts: Bridge: Pronouns and Parenthetical Punctuation

  1. The Comma Llamas

Meet the Comma Llamas, the fluffiest band in town! Paloma plays drums, Tito plays guitar, and you just joined the band. Tonight's first move: picking I, me or myself.

  2. The cover-up trick

Tito says: Paloma and me tuned the guitars. Cover up the other name and read it again. Me tuned the guitars? No way. I tuned the guitars. So: Paloma and I tuned the guitars. After words like for, with and thanked, use me.

  3. Let's try more

The coach thanked Tito and blank. Cover Tito: the coach thanked me. Myself is special. It only works when I is already there: I myself wrote the song. And we or us? Drop the noun: we won, so we llamas won.
