How the lesson starts: Compose and Decompose Numbers to 10

1. Puppy sleepover

   Hi friend! This is Rosa. She runs a puppy sleepover. Rosa has two cozy beds. One is red. One is blue. The puppies split up. How many in each bed?

2. Split into two beds

   7 puppies come. 5 jump in the red bed. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. 2 jump in the blue bed. 1, 2. 5 and 2 make 7.

3. Count each group

   8 balls in two groups. Count the red. 1, 2, 3. Red gets 3. Count the blue. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Blue gets 5. Watch out! 8 is all of them. It is not one group.
