How the lesson starts: Number Relationship / Difference Grid

  1. Robo's magic machine

Hi friend! This is Robo's magic number machine. Put a number in, and a new number pops out. The machine follows one secret rule. Can you crack the rule?

  2. The one-more rule

Put in 27, and out comes 28. Put in 45, and out comes 46. The rule is one more! So put in 17, and out comes 18.

  3. Crack it and use it

Pip walks from mile 39 to mile 40. Kit walks the same way from mile 69. Where does Kit stop? First crack the rule: 39 to 40 is one more. Now use it. 69 + 1 = 70!
