1. Sunflower showdown

   Hi there! It's the Sunny Hill Sunflower Contest! The judge measures every flower in meters, with decimals. Cleo's sunflower is 0.47 m. Dev's is 0.43 m. Whose is taller? Let's compare decimals!

2. Place by place

   Compare place by place, from the left. Ones: both 0. Tenths: both 4. Hundredths: 7 is more than 3. So 0.47 > 0.43! Cleo's flower is taller.

3. A zero changes nothing

   Is 0.6 the same as 0.60? 0.6 is 6 tenths. 6 tenths is 60 hundredths, which is 0.60. Same shading on the grid! So 0.6 = 0.60. A zero at the end doesn't change the value.
