Speak in Complete Sentences

Produce complete sentences when appropriate to task and situation and use language that fits a simple audience/purpose.

How the lesson starts: Speak in Complete Sentences

  1. Calling Captain Juno

Hi friend! This is Captain Juno, a space cat. Juno talks to Mission Control on the radio. Control needs clear answers. So Juno speaks in whole sentences!

  2. Use the question's words

A whole sentence tells who or what, and what about it. Control asks, what did you eat for lunch? Juno uses the words from the question. I ate space noodles for lunch. Not just noodles. A whole sentence!

  3. Let's check three answers

Control asks, who is your co-pilot? Juno checks each answer. Zed. Just one word. Co-pilot Zed. Still a piece. My co-pilot is Zed. Who, plus what about it. That is whole! Watch out. A long answer can still be just a piece.
