Use Visuals, Multimedia, and Fluent Recorded Reading

Use visual displays or multimedia to emphasize relevant facts/details and create fluent recordings/readings where appropriate.

How the lesson starts: Use Visuals, Multimedia, and Fluent Recorded Reading

  1. Poppy's big show

Poppy the panda is making a slideshow for Science Night. Words alone can be hard to picture. So Poppy adds visuals, like maps, graphs, and diagrams. Each visual must prove her fact!

  2. Which visual does what?

Each visual has a job. A map shows where things are and which way they go. A bar graph compares amounts. A line graph shows change over time. A labeled diagram names parts. Pictures in order show steps.

  3. Let's match every detail

Fact: the river bends east near the town. Poppy checks each map. The river bends east by a town. Every detail matches! The river bends west? Wrong way. A road bends east? That is a road, not a river. Every detail must match!
