The windy test
On test day, a gust of wind knocked Ember off course. Ember roared and flapped harder, but she only spun in circles. Her friend Sprig landed first and shouted tips to her. Ember slowed down, listened, and landed safely.
Event, then change
Follow Ember. The gust knocks her off course, so she gets frustrated and flaps harder. Then Sprig shouts tips, so she slows down and listens. Ask: what happened right before the character changed? That event is the cause.
