How the lesson starts: Build Complete and Compound Sentences

All aboard!
All aboard! Conductor Zuri the zebra runs the Sentence Train. Every sentence needs two parts. A who or what, and what happened. Without both, the train can't go!
Two parts
Look at this train. The dog ran to the gate. Who? The dog. That is the subject. What happened? Ran to the gate. That is the predicate. Toot, toot!
Find the front car
Blank, jumped over the log. This train needs a who. Zuri tries very fast. Very fast jumped? That's not a who! In the park? Not a who! The frog is a who. The frog jumped over the log!
