   Honk honk! Welcome to the Sentence Garage. Ravi the raccoon is a sentence mechanic. Each sentence that rolls in has one broken part. Ravi finds it fast!

2. Ravi's checklist

   Ravi checks every sentence with four questions. Do the verbs match? Are the capitals right? Is the end mark right? Is every word spelled right? One check at a time, he spots the broken part.

3. Let's find the broken word

   Here is a broken sentence. The dogs runs fast. Ravi checks the verb. Dogs means more than one, so the verb is run. Runs is the broken word! For one dog, runs is right. The dog runs fast.
